Basically…I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. It’s true, I don’t have an older sister, and until now I haven’t thought much about it. About the role that I serve to my two actual sisters, but also how I serve that role with a lot of my friends, colleagues, and on the wild frontier of the internet. The sheer volume of questions I’m asked all the time: from who makes your favorite jeans (which is honestly its own newsletter), to what’s your workout routine, to what are you making for dinner tonight. I’ve never once felt resentful or sad that I don’t have my own big sister.
I assume if you have found me here, you follow me somewhere else on social media, but just in case you don’t, here are my big sister bona fides. Oldest of four kids, basically raised by wolves (love you mom and dad, but it was the 80’s!) and quickly figured out that if I want something, I need to figure it out for myself. A voracious reader and very early internet adopter—too early, honestly—I have done my research, and not in a “I’ve done my research” weaponized way, I have just put the work in. I know the answers to a lot of questions. So, that’s what you’ll find here. The answers to questions, my dubious opinions, some personal narrative, and hopefully a damn good time.
